About

Opened in 2011, our luxurious 4-star self-catering cottage in the picturesque South Uist village of Lochcarnan provides nature lovers with peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by moorlands and beautiful Lochs which allow brown trout fishing, the cottage offers breath-taking views through every window. Hikers will find excellent hillwalking opportunities on Ben Mor and Hekla in South Uist and Eaval in North Uist.

Contemporary spacious rooms and amenities such as flatscreen satellite TV, free internet (WiFi), fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer make your stay as comfortable as possible. Relax, read a book or enjoy your favourite TV programme in our comfy living room. Oil central heating and a feature fireplace make you feel cosy even on a chilly day. Prepare and serve a delicious meal for up to 6 people in our fully-equipped modern and spacious kitchen which features a cooker with separate grill and oven as well as a microwave oven. Enjoy a relaxing bath or a quick refreshing shower in our lavish daylight bathroom. At the end of an active day, you will appreciate a peaceful night in our quiet and snug double bedrooms.

A lavish garden gives children ample space for safe playing.

While situated in an unspoilt, quiet area, this modern three double bedroom accommodation is an ideal, centrally located base from which to explore the delights of the islands of Berneray, North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist and Eriskay. With three nature reserves, the Uists are home to countless species and therefore the perfect place to visit.

On arrival, we will provide you with some information material on what to do and what to see around Lily Pond Cottage. There are several supermarkets (open 7 days a week) on the islands, filling stations and garages, post offices, banks, a hospital, restaurants, cafés and souvenir shops.
