About

Quite large numbers of this fern can be seen, but because of its diminutive size, is easily over-looked. It was once thought to be a cure for snake-bite. The pale green spike rising from the crown of fronds resembles the tongue of a snake.

Easier to find in patches of short, grazed grass.
