The Isle of Barra Beach Hotel

2024 season from 1st May - Our accommodation is your must have holiday choice for so many reasons - we are on the West side - the best side and close to Castlebay/ferry arrival or on the bus route from the airport (bus stop right outside the hotel).

Spectacular sea and sunset views - a real get away from towns and cities location - Our direct beach access location provides nature in the wild - where top of your experience could be close sightings in/around Halaman Bay of dolphins and otters.  Chill out in our hammock or deck chairs on our sea view decking or enjoy complimentary use of our small selection of fun, holiday items - body boards, surf board, wet suits, beach towels, flip flops and wellington boots for you to dip into the North Atlantic sea, surf the waves, feel the sand in your toes on the beach, head out for hill walks or along the beach and kick up the waves! 

We want you to enjoy a perfect Hebridean day.

Beach: We wrap round and look directly over Tangasdale beach/Halaman Bay with direct access to the beach and our rock pool that some guests use as our swimming pool when the tide is out - there is no road between you and the beach/sea when you stay with us - no traffic noise - just the sound of nature and the Atlantic waves.

2024 Breakfast for you to enjoy in our upper deck sea view breakfast dining room* scrambled eggs with local smoked salmon, muesli, cereals, porridge, toast and jams, yogurt, fruit juice, selection of teas/pot of local Skydancer (Isle of Uist company) ground coffee. Served from 08.00 until 09.30.

Evening meals - we offer evening meals in our lounge bar for you to order and enjoy

Once all your dining and accommodation needs secured you can relax, experience our spectacular view and sunsets while you enjoy a dram or dine after your perfect Hebridean day.

Self Contained Private Entrance Bolthole Cabin: Modern, large, open-planned and self-contained family facility sleeping 6  - includes: large open plan modern cabin style. Suitable for family use.  Bedroom with bunk beds & twin beds/ large double sinks bathroom/separate cloakroom/separate shower. Super king bed for Mum and Dad in open plan area. Kitchen - microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge with freezer, large open plan lounge/sofas, dining table/chairs. There is no sea view directly from the cabin but you are only a stone throw from the beach and rock pool. Minimum 2 night stay applies. Rate: £375.00 B&B per night sleeps 2 adults and 4 children -  a basket of fresh fruit, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits will be available for your arrival. Breakfast will be served for you in our sea view upper deck dining room.

All Our Hotel Rooms Are Sea View or Sea Facing Rooms - so you can fall asleep with the sound of the North Atlantic rolling waves - all twins, doubles, king beds or family rooms - all with private bathrooms.

Room Only 'Get up and Go No Frills Rooms'(no televisions/tea/coffee facility) - we offer 'get up and go bikers/walkers and explorers' . We have sea facing twin bedded rooms for double occupancy or 3 person occupancy rooms/with set of bunks and single bed - all our rooms have private bathrooms.  Book a twin at £125.00 or a 3 person for £150.00.

Overnight Bike Storage For Our Guests - We can offer you to store your bike storage overnight in our stable.

Travelling with your dog? We have super king bedded rooms available for you. Dogs: £20.00 per dog per night. There rooms are located on the ground floor close to the beach door - dog treats for their breakfast and their own towel for their beach walks are provided for their arrival.
