About

This is the only standing stone of any size still erect on Barra. Leave Castlebay eastwards, climbing the long steep hill. Descend towards Brevig, reaching a sharp right-hand corner among trees. After the next left hand bend, pull off the road between the bollards at the passing place on the left.

Walk uphill for 300 m. in a northerly direction towards a derelict building - the standing stone is alongside it (689990.) A shattered second stone lies nearby.
