By the shores of east loch Tarbert sits the Isle of Harris Distillery visible to everyone arriving by land or by sea.
Although very much a working distillery, producing spirit for our forthcoming whisky, ‘The Hearach’ as well as our Isle of Harris Gin, the distillery is open to the public Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
At the heart of the distillery sits a peat burning fire representative of an Outer Hebridean welcome, a warm welcome awaiting all guests that walk through our distillery doors.
The distillery canteen serves a small but hearty menu with freshly made soups and home baking in the winter months and additional cheese boards and seafood plates to enjoy alongside an Isle of Harris Gin or Martini during the summer months.
Distillery tours run at various times from March to October at £12 per adult and £6 for guests aged 5 to 18 years old. With a maximum of 12 spaces available on each tour advance booking is highly recommended.
Please contact the distillery directly to book onto a tour.
We look forward to welcoming you to our island shores one day soon.
