About

21 Callanish bespoke manufactured luxury glamping pod sits within its own recently rebuilt stone-walled enclosure, all stone coming from the croft, which was once the original croft house’s garden – it has uninterrupted views over the croft, a sea of wildflowers in the summer, to the hills of Uig. Depending on the time of year, sea eagles, golden eagles, merlins, skylarks and many more birds can be seen above the croft.

The fully insulated, adults only, large, open plan pod sleeps two people and is designed for your comfort with a king-size bed, underfloor heating and a corner sofa. In the kitchen, there is a solid worktop, full-size oven, hob and microwave. You can also relax to your own music with the integrated bluetooth sound system, you can watch a film on the 32cm smart tv and the pod has its own WIFI. There is a heated bathroom that boasts a large shower. Private parking.

A walk through the Stones to the shoreline and if you are lucky you might see a seal, an otter, dolphins or salmon jumping. Callanish is an ideal base from which to visit the stunning west coast beaches, the beautiful beach of Dalmore is only 9 miles to the north and you can take in the famous Gearrannan Blackhouse Village on the way. Uig with its beautiful hills, beaches and the fantastic Uig Sands Restaurant is 20 miles to the west.

The croft dates back to 1765 and has an interesting history including once holding the grazing rights to the Flannel Isles – made famous with the sad disappearance without a trace of all 3 lighthouse keepers. You are welcome to wonder up the croft, have seat and take in the unique view of the standing stones and surrounding area
