Photographers Tip
Large rollers often crash onto the beach. There are nice large rounded bolders on edge the sandy beach. The long ridge of Dun is on the west side of the bay. Early to late morning is good for the best light.
There is an honesty shop for souvenirs on Hirta, cash only. Postcards and special ink postmarks are available (but stamps are not), they will be sent out by regular helicopters.
