About

The Corn Bunting is a rather nondescript lowland farmland bird and is the largest of the buntings. It is a stout, dumpy bird brown which flies off with a fluttering flight and with its legs characteristically 'dangling'. Its dramatic population decline in the UK makes it a Red List species.

It is best looked for around the visitors centre feed sites in the winter, or singing from dunes, wire and posts in the spring and summer.
