We co-ordinate the responsible and sustainable development of the tourism industry in the Outer Hebrides 

• We operate in partnership with CnES, VisitScotland and HIE to deliver economic and broader community benefits from tourism.  Our joint strategy is summarized here

• We provide a strategic tourism perspective, advising on investment decisions big and small.  We represent tourism on OH LEADER and helped construct and sell the tourism strand of the Islands Deal

• Our core areas of destination development are Community and Responsible Tourism, Food and Drink, Seasonality and Cruise 

• We develop additional ways for tourists to appreciate the islands. 

• We measure the value of the industry through regular research, such as occupancy data and accommodation audits
