About

Two Harbours Guest House offers superior coastal accommodation on the beautiful Isle of Scalpay. Nestled between North and South Harbours, the award winning North Harbour Bistro, or the historic Eilean Glas Lighthouse, are both within walking distance. We are 7 miles from Tarbert, and ideally located for exploring all of Lewis and Harris.

This substantial granite house was rebuilt in the 1880s, and sits on the site of Kenneth Campbell’s original farmstead. It was there in 1746 that Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed for 5 days as he awaited his return to France.

Greeted on arrival with tea and cakes and a full cooked breakfast available you certainly won’t go hungry. White fluffy towels and mains pressure showers will help you relax after a day of exploring. We have a very large dedicated twin room with harbour view and two rooms with superking beds, the largest also having harbour view, all have ensuite shower room, and all bedrooms are up one flight of stairs. Unfortunately, we are unable to take pets and children under 14 years. Free Wifi. Minimum of 2 nights-stay. One night stays can present themselves so don’t be afraid to ask. Payment is in cash, bank transfer or paypal, sorry we do not have a card reader.

Let us know if there are specific dietary requirements and we will do our very best to provide what you need. Cyclists welcome – we have a large garage if you wish to store your bikes, and there is plenty of private parking. Outside take a walk around the lovely, mature garden which is surrounded in part by a magnificent stone wall. We look forward to welcoming you at Two Harbours Guest House.
