About
Two Harbours Boutique Guest House offers superior coastal accommodation on the beautiful Isle of Scalpay (connected to Harris by bridge). Nestled between its North and South Harbours, with stunning harbour views from our rooms. The award winning North Harbour Bistro and the historic Eilean Glas Lighthouse, are both within walking distance. We are 7 miles scenic coastal drive from Tarbert, and ideally located for exploring all of Lewis and Harris.
This substantial granite house was rebuilt in the 1880s, and sits on the site of Kenneth Campbell’s original farmstead. It was there in 1746 that Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed for 4 days as he awaited his return to France.
A friendly welcome is guaranteed with a full cooked breakfast included you certainly won't go hungry. White fluffy towels and mains pressure showers will help you relax after a day of exploring. We have three bedrooms to choose from, all with ensuite shower room, and all bedrooms are up one flight of stairs.
We have the very large Luskentyre Room (configurable as a superking or twin) with views to the north harbour and across to the Harris Hills, there is the Scarista room a large bright room with a superking, triple aspect including views over the north harbour and hills, and with an extra large shower room. Our third room Borve is just a little smaller (but still larger than most), with views over the front garden and ample room for the superking double bed.
Unfortunately we are unable to take pets and children under 14 years. There is fast wifi throughout the guest house and each room has fast chargers and coffee and tea facilities. We offer stays of one night, but there is a great discount for stays of 2 nights or more. Our website has real time availability and once reserved we provide our guests access to their own guest information area with detailed instructions of how to locate the guest house as well as lists of things to do in Scalpay, Harris and Lewis including places to eat, boat trips to consider, beaches to visit etc.
Cyclists welcome – we have a large garage if you wish to store your bikes, and there is plenty of private parking. Outside take a walk around the lovely, mature garden which is surrounded in part by a magnificent stone wall. We look forward to welcoming you at Two Harbours Guest House.
