About

Our historic 18th Century Hebridean Farmhouse is full Character & charm. Its location is a must for visitors who want to experience a peaceful and tranquil stay just 500 metres from the beach. Panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean & dramatic coastline towards the Butt of Lewis lighthouse in the far North West of the Isle of Lewis. We are part of a working Croft offering a unique taste of a Hebridean crofting way of life.

From our stone walled garden breathe in the quality fresh sea air & enjoy watching the ever changing scenery, lambs in the crofts & the abundance of wildlife, golden eagle & migrating birds. We have Coastal walks from the doorstep & are situated on the Hebridean Way. Close to many beautiful unspoilt beaches including Eoropie Beach, Port Stoth & Port of Ness. A short drive to the ancient Clach An Truisal standing stone, Steinacleit, Callanish standing stones, the Blackhouse at Arnol & the Gearrannan Blackhouse village. Explore further the whole of the Isle of Lewis & Harris

What we offer

From our Breakfast menu choose from healthy to a hearty including our Galson Farmhouse cooked Breakfast featuring locally sourced produce.

We are fully Licensed so at the end of the day exploring you can relax in one of or cosy Guest lounges the pretty garden with a drink of your choice from our selection of wine, spirits, whiskys & Scottish beers.

Four Beautifully decorated Double En Suite Bedrooms with soft furnishings of bespoke contemperary locally woven Harris Tweed 

One Super Kingsize bedroom, One Double bedroom both with far reaching views towards the sea & coastline 

Two Twin double bedrooms (with single beds) both with garden & croft view

All with tea/coffee making facilities, luxury toiletries & fluffy towels, mini fridge, clock radio with USB & Wifi

For those that prefer to self cater try Crofter's Retreat for two located in our old cobblestone courtyard coverted from part of our stone barn. Offers luxury studio type accommodation with cosy lounge/bedroom with super comfy King size bed, sofa TV Wi-Fi . A seperate fully equipped kitchen/diner, shower room, outdoor seating & full use of the garden.

We are located 20 miles North west of Stornoway just a 30 minute drive from the ferry port & 40 mins from the airport. Ideally situated to explore these beautiful Islands.
