About

Difficult to see throughout most of the year and usually only seen when flushed although occasionally actually seen from the main road, especially when they're with young in July.
If you're lucky you may see birds from the main road; otherwise head across the moor on either side. The moor to the east of the road is particularly wet.

Visual Description
Whirring wings and short squat body
