About

Corn Bunting are overall buff brown, with heavy-ish bill and a dumpy body. They fly with their legs dangled down and their song sounds like jangling keys. In the summer they can be found singing on the edge of the dunes, but in winter check stacks and around croft houses on the machair edge.

The area to the north of the cemetery, west of Loch Thallan often holds a pair. If not seen here walk south along the machair tracks towards Kilpheder.
