About

Inspired by our beautiful Hebridean island setting, Stornoway Gin is bursting with natural botanicals to deliver unmistakable flavour. Discover a gin as vibrant as our beloved capital, packed full of island botanical flavour. Stornoway delivers a citrus punch alongside a gentle floral sweetness from locally foraged heather and gorse flower. Carefully balanced with cubeb and cassia to leave a truly warm Hebridean welcome.

The Lews Distillery is run by David & Karen Ross from our working croft in Steinish where we have lived for over 17 years,

David has been working on our gin since 2020, so its taken some time to get here but we wanted to make sure everything was as perfect as we could before we launched at the end of July this year.

We were both born and brought up in Stornoway, where we have lived all our lives and we were so proud to give our gin the name of our home town. To see this come to life over the past few months has been amazing.

We are delighted to have the first gin that has been hand distilled from start to finish in Lewis, and we hope you enjoy the flavours of Stornoway as much as we do.
