About

MacLeod Cottage is a peaceful, self-catering getaway in the beautiful village of Ness, perfectly suited for couples or small families. Whether you’re seeking an outdoor adventure, a creative retreat, or simply a place to disconnect, you’ll find space to breathe here—where the sea is always within sight. The house has energy-efficient underfloor heating and a cozy wood-burning stove, ensuring you are warm no matter what the weather brings.

Why Choose MacLeod Cottage? Views from Every Room: Wake up to breathtaking views of the Port of Ness and the lighthouse. Flexible Stays: We offer a three-night minimum stay, giving you the flexibility that standard seven-night rentals often lack. Family-Ready: Sleeps up to four adults, plus children under two. We provide a cot, bed guards, and a stair gate for your convenience.

Local Convenience: Located on a quiet side road, you are still close to the Spors Nis leisure centre (gym and bowling), the Eoropie Dunes Park, local shops, and reliable bus connections to Stornoway (just 35 minutes away). MacLeod Cottage has been in our family for generations. This home was once the heart of Breanish Tweed, where we produced handwoven fabrics for Savile Row tailors and world-renowned fashion houses.

We really try and look after our guests, so they get the most out of their time on the island. We look forward to welcoming you to Ness and the Isle of Lewis.
