Originally built as a small thatched cottage, it is now a delightful holiday location. Although the house has been in the MacInnes family home for almost 100 years, its newly refurbished interior is bright, cosy and welcoming - ideal for a relaxed getaway.

Inside there is a modern, fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms – a double with en-suite shower room and a twin-bedded room – a modern bathroom with bath and a bright living room with a feature window. New wifi has been installed throughout the cottage and there are TVs with DVD players and Sky TV for relaxed entertainment indoors. Outside, there is a large enclosed garden, ideal for games of football or sitting to enjoy the ever-changing view. Its elevated position provides stunning views of the Outer Hebrides, right out to the Monach Isles (Heisgeir) and across to Skye, South Uist and Barra. The cottage is situated just 10 minutes from the famous RSPB Balranald nature reserve and North Uist’s glorious, white sandy beaches. It’s also an ideal base for visitors who plan to walk, cycle or fish during their stay.

The award-winning Westford Inn pub which serves with excellent food is less than a 10 minute drive away as well as Claddach Kirkibost for tasty lunches and fantastic coffee and cakes.  Bayhead shop is 5 minutes drive away and stocks a good range of groceries, fresh rolls and bread and some local products like Salar smoked salmon.  It also has daily newspapers.

The cottage has been accredited with the Visit Scotland Industry Standard “Good to Go” for its hygiene measures.
Parking for the cottage is off-road and the gate can be closed to enclose the garden.
