About

Just a stones throw from the airport, this magnifient beach is well worth a visit and is easily acccessed by a small road before you get to Benbecula Aiport.

The beach is a haven for wildlife such as ground nesting waders including the oystercatcher, lapwing, dunlin, ring plover, redshank and the snipe that return here to nest each year. This is a great beach to horse ride along and you can get lessons or book a ride from the local UIst Community Riding School.
