The Grinneabhat cafe serves a set lunch menu with daily specials as well as teas, coffees and home baking. All food is freshly prepared on site daily. Gluten and dairy free options are available, including dairy-free options for coffee. Grinneabhat is owned and run by the local community, and the atmosphere is homely and friendly, with comfortable sofas by the multi-fuel stove.
The building is fully wheelchair accessible and is child friendly, with books, games, drawing materials, high chairs and a children’s menu available. Art by island artists is displayed in the café. Pets are welcome. We invite you to learn some Gaelic using the guide to Gaelic phrases and proverbs on each table.
Grinneabhat also offers accommodation, a gallery space, a community room, a polycrub, community growing plots, and a launderette.
Café open 10.30am – 4pm Tuesday to Saturday (summer) and 10.30am – 3.30pm Wednesday to Friday (winter). Building open 9am - 5pm Tuesday to Friday. (7 Feb 2024 - 31 Dec 2024) |
