About

Discover Bays Blackhouse luxury self-catering cottage on our croft in the rugged scenery of the Isle of Harris.  A perfect hideaway in a secluded location close by Loch Stocinis with fabulous southerly views over the Little Minch to the Isle of Skye.

Bays Blackhouse is a unique one bedroom holiday cottage located in Leac a Li nestled in the heart of the Bays of Harris.   The village is located on the shores of Loch Stocinis with an active crofting community and is ideally situated as a base for exploring all of the Isle of Harris being seven miles from the main village of Tarbert.  The fabulous beaches of Luskentyre, Seilebost and Horgabost are within a short drive of the property and there is excellent hill walking close by including the Scholars’ Path and the Coffin Road.

Recently developed by us to incorporate a blackhouse ruin the property offers modern luxury self-catering facilities whilst keeping the spirit of a traditional Hebridean croft house.  The property features underfloor heating throughout along with a traditional solid fuel stove to make a cosy stay at any time of year.
