Hebridean Way Pitstop

Hebridean Way Pit Stops have been created to support cyclists and walkers as they traverse the way providing a place to rest, refuel and re-stock. They include places to stay, shops, cafes and support companies such as taxis, bike transport, bike hire. 

The Hebridean Way is increasingly popular (an estimated 10k+ visitors a year) and you can be featured as a Hebridean Way Pitstop for an additional fee of £56 per listing.

A Pit Stop subscription includes:

• Listed on Hebridean Way website 
• Added to Hebridean Way Map on website
• Pit Stop lists promoted on Hebridean Way Social Media (21k+ followers)
• Pit Stop businesses can tag us on @hebrideanway on Facebook and Instagram
• Pitstops promoted on Hebridean Walking and Cycling phyiscal maps
• Use of Pit Stop branding on your website
• Pit Stop award on your Visit Outer Hebrides listing
• Highlighted in our Official Walking and Cycling Guides (updated as reprinted)

• Outdoor access code Tick advice
• Taxi and bus information

• Bicycle repair kits
• Boot scrapers

Serviced Accommodation  (Hotels, Inns, Guesthouses, B&B)

• Need to offer 1 night minimum stay
• Hot/cold drinks available on arrival
• Packed lunch and filled flask provision
• Access to water point to wash bikes/boots
• Early breakfast/late evening meal where there is no nearby facilities or out of hours food available/space for guests to make a meal
• Bike Storage or cycle rack/anchored facility for cyclists to use own locks

Un-serviced Accommodation (Campsites/ hostels/self-catering)

• Access to laundry service/washing machine
• Drying facilities available – so that wet clothes will be dry for the next day
• Bike Storage or cycle rack/anchored facility for cyclist to use own locks

Café’s/Attractions Cafés

• Water refills
• Space for bikes to be locked securely including camping gas cylinders
• Space for backpacks.

Shops

• Stock bike repair kits
• Stock a variety of camping “stuff”
• Stock first aid kits/plasters/etc
