Adventure Coast

Set of the west coast of Harris, the islands of Taransay and Scarp are well worth a visit and easily accessible. Both islands had there fair share of publicity. Taransay is famed for the reality TV programe 2000 Castaway and Scarp, for the Rocket Post film 2004, loosely based on the experimental Rocket Mail in the Thirties.

Shiant Isles, another popular destination for day trips. Privately owned, these islands provide nesting for seabirds, including guillemots, razorbills, gulls and puffins.
