About

We have been awarded TripAdvisor’s traveller’s choice award 2023 due to “consistently great reviews”. Located in the heart of Stornoway, this Gaelic speaking, family run 10 bedroom bed and breakfast began with the 175 year old listed building at number 29 Kenneth Steet which has some aspects of exposed stone work on the ground floor. The building is set over 3 levels and each stylish room has been tastefully and tactfully decorated using splashes of colour using Harris Tweed accessories, local photography and artwork as we are keen to show off our culture and heritage.

Set over 2 properties we offer 4 different sizes of ensuite rooms; double for single occupancy; king size; super-king/ twin and “the stables” which is a 1 bedroom duplex apartment.

Breakfast is visually inviting and guarantees a great start to the day. Our head chef and co-owner is professionally trained and has carefully sourced local produce, where possible when designing each breakfast dish. We have 4 different menus: main menu, gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan in addition to freshly baked oatcakes, biscuits and cakes using traditional family recipes passed down through the generations. Our kitchen team are well equipped to cater for any dietary need. You will have access to a fully equipped guest kitchen and lounge should you wish to have a night in.

Parking is free and on street with an electric charging point nearby. We also have a bike storage facility. We are across from shops and very close to cafes, bars, and restaurants. Guests will enjoy easy access to everything from our centrally located bed and breakfast.

Our staff are just wonderful and whatever the purpose of your trip you are absolutely guaranteed true Hebridean Hospitality where the team go above and beyond to ensure you have a truly fantastic stay!
