As the Hebridean Way walking route is a relatively new route, let us know what you think of our route. We are really keen to find out your experience of walking the Hebridean Way and welcome any comments you would like to make and you can leave feedback here. .
With our Hebridean weather, crofting activiites and environment the route may, from time to time, be problematic and potentially result in temporary diversions. If you come across any problems, again please let us know.
Please note, there is still some work to be done to the route.
ROUTE DIVERSIONS AND ADVISORIES
Section A - Vatersay to Northbay: The walk between waypoints 13 and 14 (hill path between Dun Barpa and Grianan) on the Detailed Route Instructions has experienced some deterioration due to a substantial landslip. Extra caution should be taken whilst walking this section, as the terrain is very muddy and uneven.
Section K - Scaladale to Balallan: The walk around Loch Cuthaig at Balallan is diverted. Please follow the instructions at point 19 on the Detailed Route Instructions map by walking along the main road
Section I - Seilebost to Tarbert: At Direcleit, point 32 See Detailed route instructions on the route instructions, a property is being renovated and the path is diverted a short distance away from the property.
Section D - Howmore to Liniclate: At Loch Druidibeg, the bridge at point 9 on the Detailed Route Instructions has been damaged - the steps up to the bridge have disappeared. Please avoid this section if you need to cross the bridge. Alternatively follow the road at point 5, turn left and follow the road to point 12 where the route continues.
