Shops

A trip to the local shop is a must during your visit to the Outer Hebrides.

Local shops are an essential part of our island communities and a great place to pick up everything you need for your trip. These shops are a treasure trove for local Hebridean produce and are a great way to meet the locals and find out what is going on in the area.

Many rural shops will sell camping gear, cycle repair kits, and if you are unfortunate to suffer from blisters, they will have a stash of plasters for you! They are also a place that you can refill your water bottles and Hebridean gifts to remind you of your Outer Hebrides trip.
