The Old School at Luskentyre Lodge is a bright, airy wooden cabin set just a five‑minute walk from Luskentyre Beach – consistently named one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. With large picture windows facing south‑west along the stunning Harris coastline and across the Sound of Taransay, the cabin offers unforgettable views in every season.
From this peaceful spot, you can watch Atlantic weather systems sweep across the bay in winter, or in summer see gannets diving into turquoise surf and the famous Luskentyre Eriskay ponies wandering freely along the sands. It’s a place where the landscape feels alive, and every day brings something different to your window.
The Old School comfortably accommodates up to four guests, making it ideal for a couple or a family with young children. It offers a double room to the front and a twin room to the rear, both with fabulous south‑facing views over Luskentyre Beach and the Sound of Taransay.
The property is let weekly with a Friday changeover, and outside the main season is available for short breaks of three nights or more. Self‑catering properties on the west coast of Harris often book well in advance – sometimes up to two years – so early booking is strongly recommended. Luskentyre is worth the wait.
We also welcome pets, and being only a short walk from the beach ensures a wonderful holiday for every member of the family.
