Clachanach Beag is a beautifully renovated self‑contained cottage just 2 miles from Stornoway, set within a peaceful crofting community with panoramic views over the town, the Minch and the hills of the mainland. With Hebridean sheep and hens grazing in the croft, it’s a welcoming island base for guests looking for comfort, quiet and a touch of authentic Hebridean life.

Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, cyclists, business travellers and well‑behaved pets, the cottage offers a cosy retreat after a day exploring Lewis and Harris.

Accommodation

The cottage is a private, self‑contained space featuring:

• A modern bathroom

• A bright kitchen/living/dining area

• An easily accessible deck with open views

There is also a mezzanine level accessed by a steep loft ladder. With limited headroom, it’s ideal as a snug extra space with a futon — additional bedding can be arranged on request.

Guests have plenty of parking beside the cottage, which sits within the garden of the main house. Croft Life

Depending on the season, you may see Hebridean sheep, hens, and in spring, new lambs. It’s a lovely chance to experience traditional crofting life in a gentle, respectful way.
