The perfect escape for families, couples and lovers of the great outdoors. 5 glamping pods and a new luxury self-catering cottage are located on a traditional working croft in Mangersta, a tiny village on the Uig peninsula, edged by dramatic cliffs and sea stacks. The quiet valley opens out to Mangersta Sands, a completely breath-taking Hebridean beach, frequented by Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles, Gannets and Fulmars. 

A seafood lover's dream, Uig Sands Restaurant is a 7 min. drive and Uig Community Shop (for groceries, fuel, ATM and launderette) is a 10 min. drive. Uig Museum, Uig Community Centre Cafe, The Edge Cafe and the Raider Trailer (offering delicious take-away meals) are located in neighbouring Uig villages. Mangurstadh Studio Gallery is on site where guests can view original art, craft and landscape photography evocative of the Hebrides.

GLAMPING PODS

3 Wigwam® Holiday Cabins and 2 vintage style Shepherd’s Huts with ocean views, are fully self-contained with their own private en-suite showers/WC and kitchens equipped for self-catering. Each Wigwam® Cabin sleeps up to 4 adults on 1 double bed and 1 double sofa bed. Each Shepherd’s Hut sleeps up to 2 adults on one double bed. Fully insulated, with electric heating and double glazing, a cosy stay is guaranteed in any Hebridean weather. Mangersta Croft Holidays is a dog friendly Glamping site. All guests staying in the cabins and huts can gather around the circular dry stone walled fire pit for BBQs, campfire cooking and star gazing.

MANGERSTA STEADING - luxury cottage for two

Brand new for 2026 the Mangersta Steading is a spacious, one bedroom holiday house with incredible views of the Uig Hills, Mangersta Beach and coastal cliffs. A unique design and self build by owner Derek Scanlan as a luxury retreat for two. The stylish open plan kitchen/dining/ living room is equipped with everything needed for a self-catering break in Uig, Isle of Lewis.  It has a smart TV, sound bar and WiFi.  The restful bedroom has a lovely kingsize double bed, a writing desk, seating area, plenty of storage space and panoramic views of the North Atlantic Ocean. A shower room/wc with a walk-in rainfall shower and an entrance hall/ utility room with a washer/dryer complete the home. Mangersta Steading has air source heating and an EPC band B rating, making it very eco-friendly. The cottage has an elevated position at the top of Mangersta Croft above Mangersta Sands. It sits within its own enclosed garden. There is a free private parking space next to the house for guests and level access throughout the building. Sorry but pets are not allowed in the Mangersta Steading.
