Visit the Birlinn Yarn Company studio on the Isle of Berneray
At Birlinn Yarn we produce knitting yarn from our flock of Hebridean sheep and from wool sourced from local crofts in the Uists. Our yarn is spun into a range of natural blends and organically dyed colours, which take inspiration from our stunning Hebridean sea and landscapes. We also sell a range of bespoke knitting patterns designed by Meg Rodger and other international knitwear designers, Harris tweed items, woolly hats, knitting magazines and books.
Also on show are Meg’s environmental art works that work with the elemental qualities of life in the Hebrides in particular wind and light.
