Currently the café serves full breakfasts from 9am to 11.30am and Lunch from 12.30 to 3pm. The cafe offers a variety of Hot meals, toasties, sandwiches and delicious home baking, refreshments and snacks. The gift shop is curtently open 9am to 4.30pm Tuesday to Saturday.
As far as possible the food is sourced and supplied locally, with Stornoway based butchers preparing and delivering fresh produce daily. We have freshly baked cakes on offer each day baked by our very skilled kitchen staff. We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients, and presenting food to a very high standard.

The Centre is a place for visitors to come and relax, learn about our heritage, sit in the cafe with a speciality tea or coffee and relax while admiring the beautiful surrounding landscape.
Urras nan Tursachan (the Standing Stones Trust) set up the Calanais Visitor Centre, and it was first opened to the public 30 June 1995. The main aim for the Visitor Centre is to educate visitors on the story of the world famous Callanish Standing Stones. As one of the main attractions on the island, the Standing Stones attract an estimated 150,000 people a year.

April 10th to June 3rd open Monday to Saturday 9am-4.30pm.
June 5th to September 30th, open Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm.
October 3rd to December 22nd, Tuesday to Saturday 10am-4pm.
