Located just ten miles from the ancient enigmatic Callanish Stones with unspolit Outer Hebrides beaches just a short drive away. The Isle of Harris beachs can be reached by car in less than an hour.   

Westend is an ideal overnight for cyclists on the Hebridean Way between Tarbert and Callanish. Westend is also handy for walkers as it is midway on the Laxay to Stornoway section of the Hebridean way walking route.. Westend is on the bus route to many other parts of the island

Walkers and cyclists are welcome, with drying and cooking facilities provided. The Keystore is on the junction of the A858/A859 and has a range of meal ingredients. Meal kits can be provided for walkers not passing the Keystore.

Magaidh’s family have lived on this croft land for six generations. Magaidh is a tour guide and very willing to share her knowledge, of historical and cultural information with guests. 

If you are catching an early morning ferry Stornoway ferry port is a 10 minute drive and Tarbert, Tarbert Harris ferryport is a 40 minute drive. The  Leverburgh ferry to Uist is one hour and 30mins drive.
