About
Callanish View is a newly built, modern two-bedroom cottage, situated in the beautiful village of Callanish, on the Isle of Lewis.
Set in a quiet, idyllic location, the house boasts views across to the beautiful hills of Harris and Uig and the world-famous Callanish Standing Stones, which are located within a mile of the house. There is Visitor Centre with a café, shop and post office situated next to the stones.
Perfectly situated to enable guests to relax and unwind or to explore the sites of Lewis and Harris, with easy access to hill-walking, fishing, beaches, wildlife, historical sites and much more. Ideal for photographers, artists, bird-watchers, walkers, runners and cyclists alike. There are numerous beaches around Lewis and Harris, you really will be spoiled for choice! The closest to Callanish View is Dail Mòr, which is about a ten minute drive away, and Dàil Beag, which is a further 5 minutes away.
A five minute walk to the rear of the house will take you to Loch Bharabhat, a fresh water trout loch where you can enjoy some fishing, a relaxing walk or some bird watching.
The main living area comprises of a sociable, bright and spacious open plan kitchen, dining, living area and sun lounge, encompassed by large windows to enable guests to enjoy the spectacular panoramic scenery of the surrounding area.
Unwind in our spacious, luxurious bathroom. Enjoy complete relaxation in our jacuzzi bath, which features underwater lighting, Bluetooth sound system and double headrests.
Callanish View sleeps up to 4 adults, with one king size bedroom with luxury en-suite shower room and one super king or twin room. A travel cot is available on request and we are happy to cater for families. The house is equipped to the highest of standards, with solid oak furniture throughout and a range of facilities. Sky TV is available in the living room and both bedrooms, superfast broadband. There is a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, which opens across to the rest of the spacious living area. Relax in the sun lounge and enjoy the breath-taking scenery or enjoy some star-gazing with the on-site telescope by night.
Relax on the patio with a glass of wine as the sun sets, enjoy a BBQ with the family as the children play in the spacious garden. We will also be introducing a hot tub to Callanish View in the coming months.
There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a washing line in the garden.
We are pleased to offer guests short-stay breaks from 3 nights during the winter months.
