About

This is an good short walk, roughly about 2 miles there and back. It is where Bonnie Prince Charlie, returning from a failed escape bid from Stornoway, hid in a little hut. There a number of interesting features along the way:

1. Leabaidh a Phrionnsa (The Prince's bed)
2. Loch an Oir where some gold coins were thrown.
3. Loch nan Arm where some weapons were dumped
4. A curious stone marker on top of a mound (no other info )
5. Uamh a Phrionnsa where the Prince hid on the shore (access depends on tide)
6 An inlet used by a Benbecula man who regularly smuggled illegal whisky
across from Ardnamurchan.
