About

The older birds show largely brown plumage with pale head and neck - white in older birds. Tail feathers of adults are white. In flight it has massive long, broad wings with 'fingered' ends. Its head protrudes and it has a short, wedge-shaped tail.
Can be found on either side of Lochmaddy Bay so best to scan the hills either side and mouth. Occasionally circling over the village so don't forget to look up!
