About

Scan the hills (Li a Tuath) lying directly south of the ferry terminal. A pair may be seen circling over the tops from time to time. Birds can also be seen over the hills in the distance to the north of Lochmaddy Bay.
Both species of eagle occur in the area; golden eagle have a short neck and long tail whilst white-tailed eagles generally have a long neck and shorter, more diamond shaped tail.
