About

No more struggling uphill or against the wind, our electrically assisted bikes make cycling a pure joy! Bernera Bikes have six Pure Electric (Free City) E-Bikes for hire, suited to riders between 5’2 (157cm) and 6’1 (185cm) in height. This classic step-through unisex design is easy to get on and off, has a relaxed riding position, plenty of adjustment and ergonomic handlebars for a comfortable ride. The bikes have a powerful 250w motor with three simple power modes that cap the assisted speed at 15,20 and 25km/h, The battery delivers up to 45km (28 miles) range in normal, everyday conditions, with a full charge taking six hours.

The bikes are ideal for seasoned riders or for those rediscovering travelling on two wheels. Inclusive in the hire cost are: helmet, High-Viz, pannier, lights and the option of a baby carrier.

If you’ve never tried an electric bike before, Bernera Bikes can provide basic  riding instruction. Where you choose to go is up to you (however, we’ve a couple of suggestions to get you started : ). Individuals and groups are welcome, please email us at nat@greatbernera.org to discuss your requirements.
