Hebridean Way Cycling Route Section B: Daliburgh (South Uist) to Clachan (North Uist)

Northton Temple

Stilligarry Beach and Machair

Along the west coast of South Uist is an approx. 20 mile strip of stunning white beach and machair. Access can be gained from the village of Stilligarry.

Polochar Beach

Along the west coast of South Uist is an approx. 20 mile strip of stunning white beach and machair. There is easy access to this beach at Polachar.

Berneray West Beach - Esther Sinmiraranadie

A truly stunning beach and was voted in 2021 as no. 3 in Lonely Planet's Top 20 Best beaches in Europe! It is easily accessible through the village of Borve.

Stornoway Harbour

Stornoway with its population of about 6000 is the main port and administrative centre on the Isle of Lewis.

Beinn Ghainche

Coll Beach

Beautiful beach approximately five miles from Stornoway. Suitable for walking, wind-surfing, kite flying. There is also a caravan park with toilets
