Gaelic Heritage Landscapes photographic collection.

This photography collection consists of numerous photographic images taken in the Outer Hebrides, the Western Isles of Scotland. 

Travelling and hiking through the isles, you experience the inherited Nordic and Gaelic traditions, monuments, and culture. These are still imprinted on the islands to this day and inform and give meaning to many of today’s activities.

Each hill, glen, valley, loch, beach, or built heritage has a name and a story attached. I believe the more you listen to these stories, the more you appreciate the landscape. 

I do not have Gaelic, but I ask the locals, who are invariably the best storytellers of all. When they speak, I sense this deep connection with their environment. They do not live here. They belong here. They are part of the fabric that makes up the Outer Hebrides.

The Gaelic Heritage Landscapes photographic collection is named in their honour.

The images are a celebration of the visual beauty of the Hebridean landscape. It is an awesome and photogenic backdrop for those of us lucky enough to live here on the fringe of the Atlantic.

Photos from this collection are available in three different formats:

“Window into the spirit of the Outer Hebrides”: A1 size high-quality panoramic landscape posters in a frame. 

Fine-art Prints and Frames: standard image sizes, matte finish and frame.

And “Photographer’s Cut”: non-standard/free-sized framed panoramic prints in matte finish.
