About

Sitting by the shores of east loch Tarbert, the Isle of Harris Distillery first opened its doors in September 2015 and we’ve been distilling island spirits ever since.

Although a working distillery, we welcome the public Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and offer a secure area for holding bikes during you visit.

At the heart of the distillery you’ll find our peat fire burning throughout the day all year round. The perfect spot to warm up and dry off after experiencing our often inclement Outer Hebridean weather and here canine friends are also welcome.

In the distillery canteen we have a small but hearty menu of freshly prepared soups and home baking with additional seafood and cheese boards to enjoy in the summer months.

And in the distillery shop our Hearach team will be happy to share a sample of our Isle of Harris Gin where bottles can also be ordered for home delivery.

Distillery tours run at various times from March to October, Monday to Friday at £12 per adult. For more information or to book please give us a call on 01859 502212.
