Eriskay Walk This walk takes in spectacular views from Loch Crakavaig to the stunning white sands of Bonnie Prince Charlie’s Beach (Coilleag a’Phrionnsa), the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and hopefully some Eriskay ponies along the way! Starting at the community hall, (parking available) the route follows the road towards am Baile, passing am Politician, the cemetery, along Coilleag a’Phrionnsa beach and over to Acarsaid. The route then returns back via the water station at Loch Crakavaig and along the main road back to the community centre. 2026-09-21T23:46:56.1250104Z WP1 Start at the Community Centre next to Eriskay Shop. Dot Waypoints WP2 Turn left here and follow the road. Dot Waypoints WP3 Follow road towards Am Politician Dot Waypoints WP4 Continue walking past Am Politician Bar and Restaurant towards the old graveyard. Dot Waypoints WP5 The old graveyard is to the right where Father Allan's grave stone can be found. Dot Waypoints WP6 At the road end, head down towards Coilleag a'Phrionnsa....the beach where Bonnie Prince Charlie famously landed. Dot Waypoints WP7 Walk along to the other end of the beach and up the path to the main road. Dot Waypoints WP8 Head up the footpath to the main road Dot Waypoints WP9 Turn left on to the main road and head up towards the junction. Dot Waypoints WP10 Turn right at the junction towards Acairsaid. Dot Waypoints WP11 Turn right and walk up the hill towards Acairsaid harbour. Dot Waypoints WP12 At the trees, turn right up the rock face, to the top of the hill to get a great view. Note the Catholic Stations of the Cross on the way up the rock face. Dot Waypoints WP13 Retrace your steps back down the hill and then turn right at the foot of the hill. Dot Waypoints WP14 Walk along to the end of the road, over the stile and along the shore. Dot Waypoints WP15 Continue along the shore and up over a hill fence. Dot Waypoints WP16 Keep going until you come a hidden lily covered loch. Dot Waypoints WP17 Nearby you will see a secluded bay where you may spot an otter! Dot Waypoints WP18 Retrace your steps until you you retun to the junction at the main road. Dot Waypoints WP19 Here turn up right towards the water station. Dot Waypoints WP20 Head North to get back on to the Main road. Here you will catch some spectacular panoramic views. Dot Waypoints WP21 At the main road, turn right and head down the hill, passing The Statue of Our Lady of Fatima.
