The Sheiling is located in Skigersta, Ness at the Northern end of the Isle of Lewis. A traditional crofters cottage tastefully renovated to keep its heritage and charm. Enjoying sea and moorland views from Port of Ness to Port Skigersta and across the Minch to the mainland mountains.  

Ness makes a great holiday base for exploring the Islands and benefits from a wide range of natural and cultural sites and everyday amenities. Including, Dun Eistean, ancient stronghold of the clan Morrison, Eoropie beach with machair, dunes and children's adventure park, the Butt of Lewis with its Lighthouse, spectacular sea stacks & cliffs, Ness Historical society with archive, craft/gift shop and cafe, Taigh Dhonnchaidh Arts & Music Center, Ness sports center with gym, swimming pool, sauna & ten pin bowling, Ness Football & Social club, Cross Pub, Loch Stiapabhat wildlife observatory & reserve, 2 general stores 1 with fuel, several Churches including the 13th century St Moluag's Church.

The Sheiling's  facilities include a large garden with decking and outdoor seating, multi fuel stove, central heating, widescreen satellite tv, wi-fi, phone, washing machine, dryer and dish washer. Cot, high chair & fireguard available. Dog's welcome.
