About

Close to quiet, pristine sandy beaches this is a spacious, exceptionally well equipped and comfortable home that is the perfect base to holiday in the Outer Hebrides. This west side of Lewis, the most sought after due to the spectacular coastline and beaches, is one of the richest areas of the Hebrides archaeologically and The Artist's House is just a short walk from the famous Gearrannan Blackhouse Village, which is fascinating. In addition it is but a short drive to the Callanish Stones, well worth a visit, and if the weather is not kind you can retreat for a lovely bowl of home-made soup or sample the delicious home-made cakes from the Callanish Visitor Centre. Head north and explore the beaches of the north coast; Port of Ness and Eoropie in particular are well worth the trip. Children will love the play park in the dunes! Head south and you can be in Harris in just over an hour and on the fabulous Luskentyre beach or Tarbert with its Harris Tweed Centre and Harris Gin Distillery. However, you will have the warmth and tranquil comfort of The Artist's House to return to at the end of each pleasure filled day.
