Welcome to Struan House which is located on North Uist in the traditional crofting township of Knockintorran. The house sits within an award winning walled garden on the shore of Loch Sandary where you can fish for brown trout.

Guest accommodation is all situated on the ground floor with easy access for those with limited mobility. There is a king-sized bedroom with adjoining private facilities including a walk in shower. The bedroom is bright and airy with views over the garden and is well equipped with hostess tray (including samples of home baking). There is a comfortable lounge with multi fuel stove if the weather turns chilly as well as plenty books, music, games and Sky tv.

Over 100 bird species have been observed from the house including corncrakes in the adjoining fields. There are otters in the loch and the beautiful white sandy beaches and unique machair habitat are only a short walk or drive away. Situated only 3 miles from RSPB Balranald reserve, we feel a stay at Struan House will give visitors a chance to experience the best of what North Uist has to offer.
