About

Òran na Mara (Song of the Sea) is situated in one of the world's most stunning locations - the west coast of the Isle of Harris. The islands have been voted number 1 in Europe and number 5 in the world by Trip Advisor and the beaches regularly appear in lists of the best in the world.

This wonderful place is the result of years of planning, research and design. No cost has been spared in the development of this, the most unique and luxurious house ever to be built on the Island.  Overlooking white sand beaches, hills, islands, sunsets and the ever changing turquoise Atlantic Ocean, Òran na Mara takes maximum advantage of the incredible views by being curved with floor to ceiling glass windows in the main living area.

The house is planned as a contemporary space, equipped with luxury facilities, but with traditional local features such as marram grass thatch and stone walling. It is insulated to the highest standards and has a peat and wood fired stove in the snug area, even the TV has a lift so that it doesn't interrupt the views across the house. With bespoke hand-made furniture and beautiful fabrics and artworks - every room is a delight.
