About
It's hard to over emphasis the sheer expanse of sand, sea and landscape, which goes to making this one of the most attractive parts of the Isle of North Uist. Yet it is only 8 miles from the ferry port of Lochmaddy - a small community on the north-east of the island.
For those interested in birds, the elusive Corncrakes can be heard in the machair nearby and for those fascinated by the ancient history of the islands there is Dun Sticir just a short walk from the cottage. Here is one of North Uists most important archaeological sites.
