Escape to the beautiful Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides & stay in a unique location at Crofters retreat by the sea, just a few minutes stroll to the beach and access to miles of coastal walks.
Crofters retreat is converted from the old barn at Galson Farm in the Crofting community of South Galson in the far north west coast of Lewis. We offer studio style accommodation for two. It has a cosy beautifully decorated open plan lounge/bedroom with sofa, TV, Free Wi-Fi a super comfy King size bed with luxury cotton bedlinen you can be assured of a good nights sleep. There is a seperate fully eqipped kitchen/diner with cooker, fridge and microwave etc. A seperate shower room with toiletries and luxury towels.
Enjoy the panoramic sea & coastal views toward the Butt of Lewis lighthouse from the old cobbled stone courtyard or relax in our stone walled garden watching the rolling waves of the Atlantic ocean, summer sunsets, birdlife, sheep roamimg the crofts and maybe the golden eagle soaring by.
Ideal for those who want a truely unique stay & would like to immerse themselves in island life, nature, history, culture & enjoy exploring the magical Isle of Lewis & Harris. We are close to some superb golden beaches like Eoropie, Port Stoth & Port of Ness. A short drive to The Butt of Lewis lighthouse, Clach an Trushal standing stone, Arnol Blackhouse museum, the famous Callanish standing stones and Gearrannan Blackhouse village . A good selection of places to eat and drink and some excellent well stocked shops are all close by.
We 20 miles are from Stornoway, just 30 minutes drive from the ferry port & 40 minutes from the airport.
