About

Occupying an elevated position, the house is strategically positioned to enjoy the sea in all its changing moods. With unforgettable turquoise waters and white topped waves, the seas around Eriskay are endlessly changing and atmospheric, all of which can be enjoyed from the comfort of this cottage.

The accommodation is comprised of the lower part of the house and is suitable for wheelchair access. The upper floor, which has separate external stairs for access, is not let out but may be used from time to time by the owner, but it is completely separate and private.

Eriskay is connected to South Uist by a short causeway which gives quick and easy access to explore all of the Uists including Benbecula and Berneray. There are wonderful sandy beaches, quiet and peaceful even in the height of summer. Weather permitting, take a boat trip to the uninhabited islands of Mingulay and Pabbay to see their spectacular cliffs and seabird colonies, on a par with St Kilda.

From late Spring and through the summer months the islands come alive with the wild machair flowers, so beautiful in their colour and profusion, but any time of year, the cottage will be a peaceful and comfortable break for your Hebridean journey.
