About

From the sumptuous sofas, cushions and carpets in the sitting room to the luxuriously appointed bedrooms and fabulous shower rooms, it is hard to fault even one small area.

For those with bikes there is lockable shed with a drying rack and tumble dryer for those items just needing drying off rather than washing.

The machair is a 15 minute stroll. There you will find picnic benches overlooking a wide white sandy beach, great for drinking your favourite beverage whilst watching the sunset.

The local Boisdale beach and machair is a 10 minute walk and hosts an array of summer wild flowers including rare orchids. You can continue round to Boisdale village with its mix of new and old traditional croft houses.

It is a short drive, over a causeway, to the Island of Eriskay which is small but fascinating and has a wonderful beach where Bonnie Prince Charlie first landed. From here you can day trip to Barra, another interesting island with an airport with a beach for a runway.

We advertise the house as a 6 + 2 as, although the bunk beds are full size, the dining table most comfortably seats 6 with 8 at a squeeze.
