About

From this slightly elevated position there are stunning, panoramic views across Bayble Bay. Inside, the main social space consisting of the lounge and dining room, separated by a wood burning stove; the flame visible on both sides.  Providing a warming focal point for lazy and relaxing evenings together. Upstairs there is a cinema, consisting of a large screen, projector and seating area. Catch up with movies, a generous library of DVD's are available, or watch your own holiday videos on a larger scale. This is ideal for families and or friends spending time together at any time of year and creating memories.

The area known as Point, or the Eye Peninsula, lies 6 miles east of main town in the Western Isles, Stornoway.  The nearest beach, almost immediately in front of the house, is easily accessed by walking along the road, an easy 10 mins, or very short drive.  Here there is a small pier where it is possible to catch fish from, a slipway for launching small boats and a beautiful sandy beach.  Popular for wild swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking due to the lack of strong currents and the sandy bottom, which is easily visible from the surface.

Tiumpan Head lighthouse, at the northern tip of this peninsula, is one of the premium sites in Europe to spot minke and pilot whales, dolphins and porpoises which can be easily seen from the land.   It is also a perfect vantage point to spot the many species of seabirds in the area, including a long-term resident pair of Sea Eagles.

Locally there is a community shop and café only a few minutes’ drive.   Venture a little further away to Stornoway where there are a wider range of shops, restaurants, café, delicatessen and take away options.
