About

Village Bay provides plenty of opportunities for photography either in the old village or on the beach.
The old drystane walls, Cleits and Houses in the village provide a wealth of material for photography
The last 36 Islanders were evacuated at their own request on 30th August 1930

Photographers Tip

Large rollers often crash onto the beach. There are nice large rounded bolders on edge the sandy beach. The long ridge of Dun is on the west side of the bay. Early to late morning is good for the best light.
