Merlin-Rubha Ardvule

Bornish Machair and the headland at Ardvule is a good place to look for hunting merlins during the spring, autumn and winter. They come to hunt smaller perching birds and waders along the coastal plain. Often encountered along the machair as the area is good feeding grounds for waders and open farmland birds.
